I provide instructional design services to clients needing technical training. Every project has a unique challenge so I like to adopt a new approach for each project I take on. I have experience in a wide range of project management techniques from waterfall to agile and most projects need a mixture of both.
Past projects include:
My training approach is person-centered, training is usually the result of a change happening and being aware of what the change is can inform the development process greatly. If, for example, a new system has been brought in then it might have caused redundancies. Being aware of this, especially in face-to-face training means improves the transparency and authenticity of the training. When it comes to the development of the content, each project is different and it depends on the availability of the subject matter experts. The more available the less structured the planning can be and alternatively, with less availability, there is a need for more structure. The more communication the better for all concerned.
I have used a variety of tools to create training, from the first course being designed in HTML using Notepad through to using the latest authoring tools and templates.
